Autumn in Canada must surely be one of the most stunning, beautiful seasons. The colours that appear all around us in nature are mind-boggling and seem almost unreal. Eastern Canada is especially lucky for the show it is blessed with in the fall. We are amazed by the hot pink colour we've been seeing that echoes our Hot Pink Infinity Cowl. Beautiful! It's a time of year to embrace because it is so fleeting.
Great things to do in the fall while bundled up in your cashmere are country drives and walks through the woods. Here are some of the most beautiful places in Canada to see fall colours, if you're planning a trip!
"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."

Sometimes people wonder what is so very special about Mongolian cashmere, and why it is such a luxury. Mongolia is a large country with a climate specifically suited to cashmere production In spite of Mongolia's almost constant blue skies (on average about 250 days per year of sunshine), its climate is severe. Ulaanbataar is the world's coldest capital city! Cashmere goats in Mongolia produce a fine undercoat to protect them from this harsh climate; in the spring, herders comb out these fine fibres by hand. This labour-intensive process yields some of the world's best cashmere. At Cloud, we are happy to share the fruits of all of this work with you.
Cashmere is the world's warmest fibre by weight -- this is why our featherweight accessories can keep you toasty through the winter. 100% pure cashmere, made in Mongolia and designed in Canada. From one huge, cold, beautiful country to another!
One of our favourite glimpses into the unique beauty of Mongolia is a profile of this 13-year-old eagle huntress, documented by photographer Asher Svidensky.
“You are the sky. Everything else – it’s just the weather.”
― Pema Chödrön
Fall is possibly the best time of year to get outside and enjoy a walk in the park, or the woods, or even through the unexplored streets of your own city! The air has a bit of a chill in it now, keeping you feeling alert and thoughtful while you march around and enjoy the changing leaves and late-blooming flowers. Don't forget an extra layer to keep you cozy when the sun disappears and the sky turns that lovely autumn grey.
Here are some of the best Canadian hikes for inspiration.
"An early-morning walk is a blessing for the whole day."
– Henry David Thoreau
Maybe your other half has been borrowing your cashmere here and there. You can't really blame him: it's almost impossible not to snatch up an Infinity Cowl if it's lying around. It might be time for the man in your life to have a bit of luxury of his own. We love a man in cashmere -- ruggedly handsome & wrapped up in something exquisitely soft. He'll treasure it forever.
